Profit From This Effective Affiliate Marketing Strategy
Here’s an affiliate marketing strategy that I’m always excited to share because it works wonders and it’s actually a lot of fun to do – be a guest on someone else’s blog or website, or go on a blog tour.
The point of being a guest author for someone’s website or blog, or their autoresponder system is that you will automatically get links back to your own squeeze page through your author bio.
This is how it would work: Let’s say you offer to write a guest post on a popular blog – one with a hefty readership and a nice long list. With that guest post, your own bio will be attached, naming you as the author and including a link to your squeeze page.
You can see where this would lead then, can’t you? People are going to click on that link because they liked what you wrote. They get to your squeeze page and they give you their email address. This can also work with writing a guest article for a website or as part of an autoresponder system. The good results are the same.
Here’s something else you can do that’s fun and effective in boosting your visibility and reputation – go on a blog tour. A blog tour works basically like this: You do some research and find blogs that focus on your niche – let’s say it’s training your cat to use the toilet instead of the litter box or going outside. You would look for blogs that focus on cats, cat health, kitten training, cat lovers, or even pet lovers in general.
Next, you would create a schedule for your tour – you have to have a start and end date – so there’s a sense of urgency for the blog owners to get in on having you answer some questions on their blog. You would then contact the blog owners and let them know that you’re kicking off a blog tour and giving them an opportunity to have you as a guest.
This works very well and can potentially bring a ton of traffic to your squeeze page. You might wonder why a marketer would like to have you be a guest on their blog or website. It’s as simple as this: You provide fresh material and thoughts, and their readers will appreciate the variety.
The big shots know that having you as a guest isn’t going to take all of their readers away from them. It will only help to make them look smarter and savvier in their readers’ eyes – it’s a win-win situation for everyone!
If you’re worried about your approach, just follow this advice: Even if you aren’t the person with the most experience, you can present yourself as confident, creative and interested in implementing a situation that will benefit both you and the other marketers involved.
You can even explain that you would like to be a guest or write a guest article for the experience it will give you. You can direct marketers to your own blog or website so they can get an idea of your style and what you’re about. Approach others with confidence and offering them a chance to get in on a hot new item – you and your growing expertise!
